Product Stewardship is the practice of making health, safety and environmental protection an integral part of the life cycle of products. It is underpinned by an acceptance of shared responsibility between those involved in the life cycle of products (including manufacturers, retailers and consumers) to ensure that these are managed in a way to reduce their impact on the environment and human health.

Meet The Team
Dr Sandra Meijer
Principal: Regulatory Intelligence
Dr Sandra Meijer (PhD, Environmental Chemistry) is a recognised expert on chemical management and product stewardship. Dr Meijer developed the Group’s highly regarded Yordas Helix suite of regulatory compliance tools for industry, as well as industry-specific tools such as GRMS2 for the automotive industry.
Sandra has extensive knowledge of how global chemical regulations impact supply chains, with particular expertise in the advanced manufacturing sector. She has delivered numerous training workshops for industry on topics such as REACH, Regulatory Inspections, Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) etc., and works closely with industry bodies such as ACEA and IAEG. Sandra believes passionately that Product Stewardship is about harnessing the power of data to move beyond simple compliance to build a more sustainable business.
Dr Dr Marianne Heckman
Principal: Regulatory Data Management
Marianne holds a PhD in Physics and brings over a decade of experience in global chemical control regulations, substance registration, and the implementation of compliance software. Before joining Yordas, she worked within the chemical industry, where she built hands-on expertise in navigating regulatory requirements and integrating compliance workflows into operational systems.
At Yordas, Marianne plays a central role in managing and evolving our regulatory compliance database. She ensures the seamless delivery of accurate, up-to-date data into client and partner systems, supporting the implementation of compliance strategies that are both scalable and efficient. With a deep understanding of ERP environments and product compliance platforms, Marianne bridges the gap between regulatory intelligence and digital execution, helping clients manage risk and maintain market access with confidence.
Joanna Matthew
Senior Regulatory Consultant
Jo is a senior regulatory specialist with 19 years experience in the chemical and environmental sectors. With extensive experience of the automotive, aerospace and advanced manufacturing industries, Jo is responsible for co-ordinating custom projects relating to horizon scanning and emerging regulations, regulatory fact sheets and summaries, global monitoring services and custom software development.
Jo is also experienced in the field of consumer products regulations, including the compilation and maintenance of Restricted Substances Lists and Manufacturing Restricted Substances Lists.
