Impact and Engagement
Impact and engagement are increasingly important in research and other publicly funded projects, as is the role of scientific rigour and sustainability. The best practices and tools used here are also highly relevant to the private sector.
Yordas has significant experience in supporting clients by planning and managing effective research dissemination, stakeholder engagement, and targeted scientific services to increase the impact of your projects. It ranges from Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) and regulatory support to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Decision Support Systems (DSS).
Impact and engagement projects help you…
➔ Stay at the forefront of research, policies, and regulatory requirements
➔ Further develop your research and innovation priorities
➔ Understand your community’s and stakeholders’ needs
➔ Build productive relationships based on trust
➔ Increase capacity through knowledge transfer and skill development
➔ Better understand the risks and opportunities associated with your stakeholders and project
How Can We Help?
Dissemination, Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Yordas develops strategic plans to share project results with target audiences (scientists, policymakers, industry, public) via websites, social media, and multimedia channels. We facilitate stakeholder engagement, including NGOs and industry associations, through co-creation activities and deep connections across academia, industry, NGOs, and government organisations.
Scientific Research & Review
With expertise in fields like nanomaterials, toxicology, and NAMs, we provide evidence-based systematic literature reviews, perform quality assessments of scientific publications, and conduct chemical risk and exposure modelling to support regulatory decisions.
Regulatory & Policy Support
As thought leaders in various specialist fields, we support decision-making by analysing how emerging technologies fit into legal frameworks (e.g., REACH), performing regulatory policy reviews, and identifying uncertainties. We have experience in working with national authorities (e.g. UBA, RIVM) and international authorities (e.g. European Commission, JRC, EFSA, ECHA).
Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) & Life Cycle Assessment
We integrate safety and sustainability from the earliest R&D phases through SSbD assessments and comprehensive Life Cycle Assessments (LCA, S-LCA, LCC) that evaluate environmental, social, and economic impacts throughout a product's life cycle.
Decision Support Systems (DSS)
We co-develop databases, software, and methodologies to support complex decision-making and navigate the transition to a circular economy.
Exploitation, Training & Clustering
We foster industrial uptake of results to create economic value, lead cooperation with other EU initiatives, like the NSC and design educational programs like workshops and webinars to transfer skills and maximise impact.
Project Management & Compliance
Our experts lead diverse teams to complete projects on time and on budget, monitoring and controlling progress with meticulous attention to detail. We oversee compliance with the overarching principles like Open Science and the FAIR principle.
Scientific Communication & Integration
Yordas translates complex data into accessible policy briefs and guidance, and integrates Social Sciences and Humanities expertise into project delivery.
