The U.S. EPA issues Significant New Use Rules (SNURs)  

On 9 June 2020, the EPA issued direct final SNURs for 16 substances, which were the subject of pre-manufacture notices (PMNs). This action requires persons who intend to manufacture, import, or process any of these 16 substances for an activity that is designated as a significant new use by this rule to notify EPA at least 90 days before commencing that activity.

The U.S. EPA Safer Chemicals Ingredients List update

The U.S. EPA Safer Chemicals Ingredients List was updated on 13 May 2020.

 

Six synthetic cannabinoids added to Schedule I of the U.S. Controlled Substances Act

Six new substances have been added to Schedule I of the U.S. Controlled Substances Act.

Norfentanyl added to Schedule I & II of the U.S. Controlled Substances Act
