2 Authorisations granted for 4-tert-OPnEO

On 23 February 2023, the European Commission granted 2 Authorisations for the following substance:

1. 4-(1,1,3,3-Tetra methylbutyl)phenol, ethoxylated (4-tert-OPnEO)

The Authorisations are held by Wallac Oy and concern 2 Authorised uses:

1. Authorisation number REACH/23/5/0 approves the formulation of 4-tert-OPnEO (as Triton X-100) for use in the assay buffer for the GSP® Neonatal GALT kit used for the semi-quantitative determination of galactose-1-phosphate uridyl transferase (GALT) activity.

2. Authorisation number REACH/23/5/1 approves the use of 4-tert-OPnEO in the assay buffer of the GSP® Neonatal GALT kit used for the semi-quantitative determination of galactose-1-phosphate uridyl transferase (GALT) activity.
