Supporting your compliance under KKDIK and CICR

Following the European Union’s lead, Turkey published its implementation of REACH (KKDIK) in the Official Gazette on the date 23 June 2017. KKDIK repealed CICR (Chemical Inventory and Control Regulation 27092) and with immediate effect, released Industry from CICR notification obligations. Currently there are no requirements under KKDIK and a pre-registration period will start at the end of 2017.

Like EU-REACH, KKDIK requires pre-registration and registration for substances that are manufactured or placed on the market in Turkey in quantities greater than 1tpa, either on their own or in mixtures, or in articles with an intended release. In contrast with EU-REACH, KKDIK does not set out separate pre-registration and registration deadlines depending on the classification of the substance or the annual tonnage band.
