Türkiye KKDIK (Turkish REACH)

Registration deadlines amended to 31 Dec 2026, 2028 and 2030

A widely expected amendment to Türkiye’s KKDIK registration deadlines was published on 23 December 2023, just days before the original registration deadline.

Like EU-REACH, KKDİK requires Pre-registration and Registration for substances that are manufactured or placed on the market in Turkey in quantities greater than or equal to 1t/y, either on their own or in mixtures, or in articles with an intended release.

Yordas’ Turkish subsidiary can act as your trusted KKDIK Only Representative. We have over 15 years of experience with EU REACH, and a wealth of knowledge and expertise, from carrying hundreds of Turkish Lead and Joint Registrations.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve put together some commonly asked questions to give you more information about Taiwan TCCSCA & OSHA. If you have any questions that we haven’t been able to answer, we would love to hear from you! Leave us a question here.

  • The KKDIK Registration deadlines were extended by either 3, 5 or 7 years, depending on the tonnage band and hazard classification of the substance. The amendment also clarified that:

    • The Inquiry process will be required after 31 December 2030

    • SIEFs will be operational until 31 December 2032

    • The substance evaluation process will start from 31 December 2026

    • The process for determining the Substances of Very High Concern and Authorisation list will start from 31 December 2026;

    • The Authorisation process will start from 31 December 2028.

  • Existing pre-registrations that were submitted before 2024 are still valid, and new pre-registrations can be submitted until specific deadlines (to be published at a later date by the Ministry).

  • The decision tree below provides a guide on the key steps and considerations for KKDIK Registration. It is important to leave sufficient time to complete registrations. Factors such as lengthy data-sharing discussions can extend timelines considerably. In our experience, it is sensible to allow at least:

    • 12-18 months for a Lead Registration

    • 4-6 months for a Joint Registration

    If you need to do Substance Characterisation, we strongly advise starting early, as labs will get very busy in the run-up to the deadline, and turnaround times will likely become longer as a result.
