Webinar: A change is REACHed for nanomaterials: Impact on the chemical safety assessment in a registration dossier

The revision to REACH published in December 2018 has formalised how the hazard and risk assessment of nanoforms should be done for a registration. This has meant that the methods used to satisfy the endpoints stated in Annexes VII – X should be adapted to account for the properties of nanoforms. This webinar will investigate these changes in greater detail and will suggest approaches to meet these requirements in a cost-effective manner by introducing some of the key results from the EU-funded projects performed in the last 10 years.

This webinar will cover:

Approaches to meet the endpoints that need an adjusted approach for nanoforms

  • Physico-chemical endpoints
    • Dissolution rate
    • Agglomeration/aggregation behaviour
  • Toxicological endpoints
    • Mutagenicity
    • Toxicity by inhalation
  • Ecotoxicological endpoints
    • Waivers
    • Transformations
    • Bioaccumulation
  • Exposure assessment

Who should attend

Regulatory specialists, toxicologists and ecotoxicologists from companies that manufacture powders and place them on the market in the EU.
