Yordas Group have announced that they will be attending and speaking at the 2 day Plastics Regulation Conference, which is taking place in Cologne, Germany on 14-15 March 2018.
Organised by AMI, Plastics Regulations 2018 provides expert analysis and guidance on a range of international legislative and regulatory issues that will impact on polymer producers, compounders, processors and end users.
Siobhan Murphy, Senior Regulatory Scientist at Yordas, will be speaking on Thursday 15th March at 14:10 pm regarding ‘Biocides in Plastic Food Contact Materials - The Way Forward’ where she will provide an introduction to the use of biocides in plastic food contact materials and a look at the latest developments from the EU regarding safety assessments of such biocides and the proposed roles of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in ensuring safety and compliance.
The conference, which offers a rare opportunity to gain focused advice on a range of compliance issues, will also cover:
It will provide vital information on how to ensure your company is compliant with current and future chemicals legislation, whatever your role in the supply chain.
Ensuring continued marketing of biocides requires knowledge of the regulatory requirements in each territory, including scope issues, data requirements and submission requirements, as well as close monitoring of relevant active substances. In addition, with the inclusion of treated articles in the scope of the EU Biocidal Products Regulation in 2013, both EU and non-EU bodies wishing to market goods containing preservatives may have new and complex obligations to understand and follow.
Yordas offers regulatory services that can help you identify whether your products or articles fall within the scope of global biocides legislation and provide support in preparing you for those obligations.
Throughout the conference Yordas will also be showcasing Chemtrac, their regulatory compliance software. Chemtrac offers a unique package of in-depth expertise, high quality current data, and intuitive software tools to support industry with chemicals compliance management. Chemtrac lets you track, monitor, manage and control the compliance of your chemicals and products, allowing you to prioritise and focus your resource, and maintain your security of supply.
