Submission window opens for nomination of substances to Vietnam’s National Chemicals Inventory

Vietnam’s National Chemicals Inventory (NCI) database has re-opened for industry to nominate chemical substances until 15 October. Data will be consolidated until the end of Dec 2018 for NCI draft 4.

  • Industry can nominate by adding the substance directly to the national chemical database.
  • The nominations are only for substances that are currently being traded in Vietnam (not for future use or trade). Industry is requested to upload evidence to prove that substances are being traded.
  • The process for registration and evaluation of new chemicals is under development and is expected to be published for public comment in 2019.
  • After this notification window, there will be no more nomination rounds before official publication of the NCI in 2019
