SCC publishes Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Plan

China’s Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Centre (SCC) recently published its 2019 working plan. This working plan covers topics such as chemical management, solid waste management, implementation of current environmental regulations and international conventions.

The SCC seeks to:

  • Improve legislation on managing environmental impact of chemicals
  • Strictly implement the registration of chemical substances and revise the Regulation on the Evaluation and Control of Chemical Substances (public consultation ended on 20th Feb)
  • Evaluate the environmental and health risks of chemical and implement the Priority Control Substance List and relevant regulations.
