MHLW designated 4 new deleterious substances

On 15th October 2018, 4 substances were designated as deleterious by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) with the proposed date of enforcement being 1st January 2019.

The four substances include:

  • Dicyclohexylamine and mixtures containing this substance at >4%;
  • 3-(Difluoromethyl)-1-methyl-N-[(3R)-1,1,3-trimethyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden4-yl]-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxamide and mixtures containing this substance at >3%;
  • Mercaptoacetic acid and mixtures containing this substance >1%; and
  • Morpholine and mixtures containing this substance >6%.
