EPA will update chemical database

According to a recent EPA announcement, the chemical data searching platform will be updated. Certain information will be disclosed in accordance with Articles 23, 24 and 25 of the New and Existing Chemical Substances Registration Regulation. Since the current database does not currently disclose all the information detailed in Article 23, the updated database may disclose more information on:

  • Identification of registrants;
  • Physical and chemical properties;
  • Toxicological and ecotoxicological information;
  • Hazard assessment and Exposure assessment.

According to Article 24 of the regulation the registration holder apply to keep their CBI from disclosure by sending a CBI application to the authority.
