CCA Implementation rules amendment

​On 29th November 2018, South Korean Ministry of Environment published an amendment of Chemical Control Act Implementation Rules. The three key changes are listed below:

  • Confidentiality: Companies wanting to keep chemical substance survey results confidential must apply for a review of chemical information.
  • Tiered penalties will apply to environmental impact report specialised agencies who have inadequate facilities, equipment or personnel.
  • The schedule of inspections to verify implementation of risk management plans for “Substances Requiring Preparation for Accidents” has changed.
